​This world class long-distance walk trail stretches almost 1000km. Passing through Mundaring Weir precinct, the Track continues to Albany through some of the most beautiful and varied natural areas of Australia's South West.

Little Eagle Walk Trail is a 7.9km loop trail located within John Forrest National Park. The trail is a bushwalker's delight, covering a variety of relatively pristine habitats. 

​A short cross-country track that packs in loads of features with no major climbs but lots of log rolls, bomb holes and jumps. Great for a group with mixed riding ability.

The 75km multi-use Kep Track uses the rail formations between Mundaring and Northam, passing through Jarrah forests, small settlements and towns. Copies of the trail flyer are available from Perth Hills Mundaring Visitor Centre.

Take a 3km walk around the Lake perimeter to view a range of native trees like marri and wandoo, together with an abundance of bird life including ducks, geese, herons and swamp hens.

The Munda Biddi Trail is a world-class off-road cycling experience stretching over 1000km between Mundaring in Perth Hills to Albany on the south coast. 

This popular walking, cycling and horse riding trail begins its journey at Bellevue, forming a unique 41 km loop at Mount Helena, before extending to Wooroloo Reserve. 

The Goat Farm is the only purpose built mountain bike park in Western Australia. It has several downhill tracks and is a great place to improve your mountain bike skills.

The Weir View Walk is a 1.2km loop trail that starts and ends at the Perth Hills Discovery Centre. Walkers will journey to a viewing platform overlooking the Mundaring Weir. This is a pleasant and scenic 20-30 minute walk.

​Beelu National Park is located in a beautiful forest location. The 3000ha park has numerous secluded picnic spots and a variety of trails to explore, as well as panoramic views over Lake CY O'Connor and Mundaring Weir.

This beautiful landscaped park features trees from all over the world.  It is the start point for the Portagabra Track, a 3.5 km walk trail. The park is dog-friendly, however dogs are not permitted on the track. Toilets and wood BBQs (BYO wood).

Located on the slopes of Greenmount Hill overlooking Perth, the park offers great opportunities for bushwalking, photography and wildlife spotting. Mountain Quarry is located within the park and is popular with rock climbers.

​Grevillea is a small scenic picnic spot set among native trees within Beelu National Park, where there is opportunity for hikingl.  A perfect place to see an abundance of wildflowers (seasonal). Picnic table and toilet.

This park is Australia's oldest conservation area.  Follow one of the many walk trails to discover an abundance of flora and fauna, as well as beautiful Hovea Falls or National Park Falls (seasonal). BBQs, toilets. Park entry fee applies.

Take a cooling dip, enjoy the walk or cycle trails, hire a canoe (spring/ summer), or simply throw down a blanket and relax on the beach or un​der the shady trees. Shelter hire available. Free park entry. Free BBQs.

Known for the quirky sculptures created by talented local artists, the park reflects the natural bush, with a nature-based sensory playground for the kids, shaded areas and lawn. Free gas BBQs, picnic tables and public toilets.

​The C Y O'Connor Hub is an excellent picnic spot located on the north side of Mundaring Weir. There are excellent picnic facilities including shelters, free gas BBQs, toilets and a children's play area.

​This picnic area, set amongst the Wandoo trees, provides panoramic views to the Helena Reservoir and famous Mundaring Weir. Access is via 3.9km track with some steep sections. 4WD recommended. Toilet available.

​This small roadside picnic area, set amongst mixed jarrah and marri trees in Beelu National Park is just one of several picnic spots accessible from Mundaring Weir Road. Toilet available.

This picnic area is south of Mundaring Weir.  Follow the 400m loop trail to the viewing platform to be rewarded by panoramic views over Lake CY O’Connor, Mundaring Weir and Helena River valley.  Picnic tables and toilets.

The Mundaring District Museum is co-located with the Perth Hills Mundaring Visitor Centre in the old school building. A permanent display about people, places and events of historical interest in the Shire are on display. 

​Mundaring is right on city’s doorstep, an easy 40 minute drive from the centre of Perth. From Roe Highway follow the Great Eastern Highway east, bypassing Midland, and as you begin the climb up Greenmount Hill you feel the change in the air!

​Lake Leschenaultia is the perfect spot for a family camping experience. Facilities include powered sites (some of which are suitable for towed vehicles), camp kitchen, fire pits and hot showers.

​The Perth Hills Discovery Centre campgrounds are located within Beelu National Park. There are 12 shady tent sites available. An undercover camp kitchen includes a fridge, power points and electric BBQs.

Malmalling Vineyard creates distinctive premium wines, with each vintage hand-picked and expertly crafted. The cafe offers a range of platters and an a la carte menu. Patrons can dine in air conditioned comfort or alfresco on the patio.

The No.1 Pump Station stands at the foot of Mundaring Weir and provides an opportunity to explore one of Australia's most significant engineering feats that has continued to supply water to the Goldfields since 1903.

​Morgan John Morgan Reserve offers BBQs, tables and play zone. The Railway Reserves Heritage Trail can be accessed here and, in keeping with the rail history, a steam train model forms the Reserve's centrepiece.

This self-guided walk, starting and ending in Sculpture Park, takes you around the town site of Mundaring and highlights some of the historic buildings of the area.

This 2.4km short walk guides you through the central part of Darlington Village taking in a number of early buildings and sites of what originally started was a vineyard in the early 1880'2 by Alfred Waylen. 

Take a heritage walk around historic Parkerville. Gazetted in 1895, Parkerville came about because of the Eastern Railway. It had a pub, quarries, stores, a hall and school. 

Marloo Theatre is home to the Darlington Theatre Players Inc., founded in 1956. the company produces around five shows each year, as well as hosting the Hills Festival of Theatre each year in September.

This 3.5km loop starts in Fred Jacoby Park within the Beelu National Park. The walk meanders through beautiful jarrah forests, winding past granite outcrops and majestic grass trees. Suitable for all fitness levels.  ​

The 12km mountain bike trail network includes 9 trails, ranging in difficulty from basic to intermediate. The trails have been carefully designed to consider dieback mitigation and leave a minimal trail tread footprint.

Blackboy Hill training camp received the first influx of volunteers on 17 Aug 1914. Eventually over 32,000 men trained here before heading to war.  The monument features a series of arches positioned to face the setting on 24 April.

​Built in 1895, Swan View Tunnel was the first railway tunnel constructed in West Australia. From here you can access the Railway  Reserves Heritage Trail to retrace 59km of the former Eastern Railway which once linked Fremantle to York.

Mundaring Weir was constructed between 1898 and 1903 to deliver water 560km from Mundaring to Kalgoorlie. It is recognised as an international historic civil engineering landmark.

Glen Forrest Heritage Walk (2.9km) guides you around the village of Smiths Mill, known today as Glen Forrest, a delightful village first settled in 1877 by Alfred Smith. Duration is approx. 45 mins.
