​Beelu National Park is located in a beautiful forest location. The 3000ha park has numerous secluded picnic spots and a variety of trails to explore, as well as panoramic views over Lake CY O'Connor and Mundaring Weir.

C Y O'Connor Hub - Mundaring Weir

​The C Y O'Connor Hub is an excellent picnic spot located on the north side of Mundaring Weir. There are excellent picnic facilities including shelters, free gas BBQs, toilets and a children's play area.

Construction Camp Hub - Mundaring Weir

​The Construction Camp Hub picnic spot is located on the south side of Mundaring Weir, with a great view looking up to the top of the weir.  Here you will find a picnic shelter with free gas BBQs, a water fountain and toilets.

Fred Jacoby Park

This beautiful landscaped park features trees from all over the world.  It is the start point for the Portagabra Track, a 3.5 km walk trail. The park is dog-friendly, however dogs are not permitted on the track. Toilets and wood BBQs (BYO wood).

Greenmount National Park

Located on the slopes of Greenmount Hill overlooking Perth, the park offers great opportunities for bushwalking, photography and wildlife spotting. Mountain Quarry is located within the park and is popular with rock climbers.

Grevillea Mycumbene Picnic Spot

​Grevillea is a small scenic picnic spot set among native trees within Beelu National Park, where there is opportunity for hikingl.  A perfect place to see an abundance of wildflowers (seasonal). Picnic table and toilet.

John Forrest National Park

This park is Australia's oldest conservation area.  Follow one of the many walk trails to discover an abundance of flora and fauna, as well as beautiful Hovea Falls or National Park Falls (seasonal). BBQs, toilets. Park entry fee applies.

Lake Leschenaultia

Take a cooling dip, enjoy the walk or cycle trails, hire a canoe (spring/ summer), or simply throw down a blanket and relax on the beach or un​der the shady trees. Shelter hire available. Free park entry. Free BBQs.

Morgan John Morgan Park (Railway Park)

​Morgan John Morgan Reserve offers BBQs, tables and play zone. The Railway Reserves Heritage Trail can be accessed here and, in keeping with the rail history, a steam train model forms the Reserve's centrepiece.

Mundaring Community Sculpture Park

Known for the quirky sculptures created by talented local artists, the park reflects the natural bush, with a nature-based sensory playground for the kids, shaded areas and lawn. Free gas BBQs, picnic tables and public toilets.

North Ledge Picnic Area

​This picnic area, set amongst the Wandoo trees, provides panoramic views to the Helena Reservoir and famous Mundaring Weir. Access is via 3.9km track with some steep sections. 4WD recommended. Toilet available.

Pimelia Mycumbene

​This small roadside picnic area, set amongst mixed jarrah and marri trees in Beelu National Park is just one of several picnic spots accessible from Mundaring Weir Road. Toilet available.

South Ledge - Golden View Lookout Picnic Area

This picnic area is south of Mundaring Weir.  Follow the 400m loop trail to the viewing platform to be rewarded by panoramic views over Lake CY O’Connor, Mundaring Weir and Helena River valley.  Picnic tables and toilets.
